Christina Sochor is a 23 year old Florida raised jazz pianist and composer. Growing up, Christina found inspiration in music through video games such as Pokemon and Super Mario. She’s classically trained, and competed in piano contests from ages 10-17. She found a love for Jazz in 7th grade, and studied the language of great jazz pianists such as Oscar Peterson and Bill Evans, along with the arrangements of great composers such as Thad Jones, Duke Ellington, Charles Mingus and Ray Brown. She traveled the world performing music on cruise ships from the ages 19-21, and landed in Kaimuki, where she has built her career as a pianist, private music educator, and orchestrator.

Come join Christina and her band of local Jazz-all stars November 11th for a show featuring inventive jazz, RnB, Neo-soul and gospel arrangements of contemporary hits from Video Games, Animation and classic American pop-culture classics.

Christina’s vibrant personality and virtuosic playing has made her a recent up-and-coming pianist on O’ahu, and also has brought her recording success. Her debut studio album “Not a Phone In Sight” is set to be released October 6th and features live Jazz arrangements of music from Zelda, Mario, Pokemon, Animal Crossing and other video game classics.
